2018 Austin Design Week: November 5–9
The third annual Austin Design Week returns to Central Texas from Monday, November 5 through Friday, November 9.

Some of our favorite sessions include Design Your Best Self with a Personal UX Evaluation (November 5), Please Talk in the Library: Redesigning Public Spaces for Collaborative Learning (November 5), argodesign Studio Tour (November 6), Design for Civic Good (November 6), Designing for Social Change (November 7), Stepping Through the Threshold of Design in Health (November 7), Designing an Experiment: What can Designers Learn from a Scientist? (November 8), Why Our Biggest Challenges Require The Design Of Systems (November 8), Designing for Gender Equity (November 8), Doors of Perception: How to Open New Ways of Thinking Through Creative Facilitation (November 9) and Real Talk: Conversations About Mental Health Among Designers (November 9).
Another element part of ADW is the Design-a-Thon, in which teams compete to improve outcomes of Austin’s biggest problems. Final presentations for this competition are scheduled for Thursday, November 8 at 4:00 pm at Rowling Hall (300 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd).

Finally, SXSW is still accepting entries for the 2019 Place By Design Competition. Hurry, final application deadline is end of day on November 8.
