2019 SXSW PanelPicker Opens June 25
The Forrest Four-Cast: June 13, 2018
If you want to showcase your industry expertise to some of the world’s most innovative thinkers in Austin in March 2019, then be sure to enter a speaking proposal in the 2019 SXSW PanelPicker. This interface opens on Monday, June 25 and (most importantly) closes on Friday, July 20.
All speaking proposals entered before this Friday, July 20 deadline are evaluated by SXSW staff, the SXSW Advisory Board and the online community. Proposals are then given a composite score from these three inputs — and the proposals with the highest composite scores are invited to be part of March Magic in Austin.
The SXSW PanelPicker typically receives about 5000 total entries from the global creative community. About 1000 of the top-scoring ideas are accepted to be part of the event — so this process is very very competitive. Stay tuned to this space over the next five weeks for tips on how to make your speaking proposal as compelling as possible.
Other elements of March Magic 2019 that will also begin accepting entries on June 25 include SXSW Pitch (formerly the SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event), the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards, the SXSW Community Service Awards, the SXSW Film Festival and the SXSW Music Festival.
Registration for SXSW 2019 opens on Wednesday, August 1.
