The Forrest Four-Cast: August 2, 2018
On the evening of Tuesday, August 7, the Austin Forum explores “The Promise and Perils of Gene Editing.” The last decade has ushered in biotechnological breakthroughs that now allow us to edit and rewrite the genetic fate of all living organisms. This free-ranging discussion will focus on both the technologies and the societal impacts of genome engineering.
Speakers for this August 7 session on include Ilya Finkelstein (Department of Molecular Biosciences, The University of Texas) and Sahotra Sarkar (Department of Philosophy, The University of Texas).
