Austin Forum in Sept: Data & Ethics
The Forrest Four-Cast: September 9, 2019
On Tuesday evening, September 17, the Austin Forum hosts a debate-format session covering Data, Privacy, Freedom and Ethics.
This event will be moderated by Sherri Greenberg, a Clinical Professor and Fellow of the Max Sherman Chair in State and Local Government at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Debate participants are Becky Taylor (the Industry Fellow for the new Ethics Project at the University of Texas), Brett Hurt (serial Austin entrepreneur who is the CEO and co-founder of data.world) and Byron Reese (the CEO and publisher of Gigaom, as well as the author of “The Fourth Age: Smart Robots, Conscious Computers, and the Future of Humanity”).
Doors open at 5:45 pm on for this Tuesday, September 17 event and the debate begins at 6:15 pm. The host venue is the Central Library (710 W. Cesar Chavez). RSVP here to reserve your spot — no charge to attend, but registration is recommended.
