Austin Forum Tackles Drones on April 3
The Forrest Four-Cast: April 1, 2018
Attend the Austin Forum at the Downtown Library on Tuesday evening, April 3 to learn more about all those miniature flying machines in a session titled “Drones: Changing Business, Agriculture, Security and More.”
This presentation will address deployments of these airborne technologies that are already happening and will likely happen tomorrow. Indeed, as unmanned aerial vehicles integrate better cameras and sensors and utilizing ‘smarter’ control systems (including AI-enabled flight decisions and object classification), the uses will continue to rise. Will it become common to see drones in our skies delivering packages, providing security, supporting aid efforts, and more? Come find out the present state and future of drones, and how you can get engaged in this technology capability.
Speaker for the event will be Craig Nehrkorn of Drone Dynamics. He was an early member of DJI North America working in support of Colin Guinn, DJI China and their cooperative launch of the world’s first RTF hobby grade drone, the Phantom 1. This lead Nehrkorn to an adventurous and educational string of experiences on product development, legal, regulatory, sales, marketing and financial fronts.
RSVP now to save your spot at the April 3 edition of the Austin Forum. Doors open at the Downtown Library at 5:45 pm and the presentation begins at 6:15 pm. One lucky attendee will win a free badge for SXSW 2019!
