Monday, July 3: Women Who Code Meet Up (FREE)
Women Who code is a professional community for women in tech. We provide an avenue for women to pursue a career in technology, help them gain new skills and hone existing skills for professional advancement, and foster environments where networking and mentorship are valued. Tuesday, July 4: How to Meet Angel Investors (FREE)

Tuesday, July 4: iPhone Developers Meet Up (FREE)
We’re here because both Austin and iOS are awesome. We meet monthly to network, present education content, showcase apps and work, discuss iOS development, and share tip and tricks, while helping each other through bugs. Wednesday, July 5: Austin Homegrown APIs Meet Up (FREE)

Thursday, July 6: Cap Factory $100K Challenge Info Session (FREE)

Thursday, July 6: Austin Quantified Self Meet Up (FREE)
This is a show-and-tell for people who are tracking data about their body and conducting their own personal investigations and research into their bodies, minds, and selves. Anything is game — from personal genetics to ways to digitize and track information; from how to self-diagnose to how to self-experiment with data and statistics. At Capital Factory at 6:00 pm.
Thursday, July 6: Talk Data to Me (FREE)
At this event, we host thought-leaders from the Austin data community to discuss the possibilities that data brings to life. They’ll cover how today’s wealth of data drives business and product decisions across industries ranging from journalism to programming, and share their visions for the future. At General Assembly at 6:30 pm.
Thursday, July 6: An Evening with Neil Gaiman
The British author (pictured above) will tell stories and read stories, answer questions, and in his own words “amaze, befuddle and generally delight — it will be fun and odd and not like any other evening with Neil Gaiman.” Tickets $32 and up. At the Long Center at 8:00 pm.
July 7–9: RTX Austin
RTX is a three day gaming and internet culture event hosted by Austin-based media company Rooster Teeth See the greatest new games, learn about the industry, and meet the best fans in the world! Tickets $35 to $575. At Austin Convention Center and other venues.
Friday, July 7: ATX Travel Hackers Meet Up (FREE)
We maximize travel hacks. This is a group that helps you travel for less! We find good deals and share them. If you have a bucket list like 50 countries by 50 or are interested in religious sites, museums, architecture, WWII history, international dating, international sports / soccer, etc. this group is for you. At Capital Factory at 5:30 pm.
Friday, June 7: IBM Watson Cognitive Tech Meet Up (FREE)
This month we will have a high-level overview of the complete service offering of Bluemix Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS — formerly Softlayer), Bluemix Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Bluemix Software as a Service (SaaS), including Watson cognitive APIs and the brand-new Watson Content Hub. At Capital Factory at 5:30 pm.
Saturday, July 8: User Experience Design Bootcamp
This class aims to demystify user experience by giving a practical and simple introduction to what UX is while explaining some of its core concepts. This is a field that affects all areas of business — prepare to dip your toes into an ocean of new concepts and ideas that will enlighten your perspective on the human-computer interaction experience. Tickets $175. At General Assembly at 9:00 am.
July 8–9: AngelHack Global Hackathon Series
At an AngelHack Series Hackathon, you’re not limited to one theme or challenge. Come with an idea, or an open mind. Once here, you can build an app that makes a positive impact on your community, a site that fits an unmet financial opportunity, a VR ninja game, or anything else. Tickets $10. Begins at Galvanize at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 8 and continues through 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 9.
