CyberSecurity at Austin Forum on May 2
The Austin Forum serves as a monthly platform to address some of the tech industry’s most important and most timely issues. At this point, few issues are more timely than cybersecurity which is the focus of the Tuesday, May 2 edition of this series.
The May 2 discussion will be led by Alan Daines, Chief Information Security Office for Dell, the largest private technology company in the world. Sharing his experiences in managing cybersecurity in the enterprise as well as in his personal life, Daines will discuss how a society that increasingly depends on computers and digital data will inevitably see a corresponding increase in computer crimes and information theft.
Doors for the Tuesday, May 2 event open at 5:45 pm and the presentation begins at 6:15 pm. The location is the Austin offices of Galvanize at 119 Nueces St, 78701. Registration is free (as are the post-discussion drinks and refreshments) — click here to sign up for this event. By attending this event, you can also win a FREE registration to next year’s SXSW Interactive Conference (March 9–17, 2018).
Also, please mark your calendar for these upcoming Austin Forum events: “The Acceleration of Austin as a Smart City (Thursday, June 8) and “The Internet of Things: What It Is and How It Will Change Our Lives” (Tuesday, July 11).
