Cybersecurity at Austin Forum on Sept 11
The Forrest Four-Cast: August 29, 2018
NOTE: Initially scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, this event has now been re-scheduled for Tuesday, September 11.
Attend the Austin Forum on the evening of Tuesday, September 11 to hear Earl Carter address the all-important topic of “Cybersecurity: Surviving and Thriving in a Connected World.”
Based in Central Texas, Carter has served as a Threat Researcher for Cisco Talos Security Intelligence and Research Group for the last two decades. At the Austin Forum event on September 11, he will provide an accelerated introduction into the principles of cybersecurity, discuss the nature of common and notable hacking efforts and security breaches, and will share how you and your companies can protect yourselves in an increasingly connected (and potentially insecure) world.
Register here to be part of this September 11 edition of the Austin Forum — there is no fee to attend. Doors will open at 5:45 pm and the presentation begins at 6:15 pm. The post-event reception begins at 7:30 pm. Location for the Austin Forum is the Austin Central Library at 710 W. Cesar Chavez.
In addition to great content and top-level networking, Austin Forum attendees are eligible to win a free badge to SXSW 2019 (where many sessions will also cover cybersecurity). Download sli.do on your smartphone and start thinking of great questions to be eligible to win this free badge.
