SXSW badge-holders gain access to so much learning, networking, discovery, brainstorming and serendipity. If you can’t register for this year’s event, then be sure to take advantage of the many free activities (including SXSW Create and the workshops at the AT&T Conference Center). Another standout FREE event during the first part of the week is the SXSW Job Market, which runs March 11–12 at the Austin Convention Center.

Companies who will be recruiting at this year’s SXSW Job Market include Amazon, Apple, athenahealth, Comcast, Cox Enterprises, Dell, HomeAway, HP, iHeartMedia, Jobs2Careers, PwC, Publicis Groupe, RPA Advertising, Toyota Connected, Unilever and dozens of others.

Also attend compelling panels and presentations on the Job Market Stage. These sessions include “Don’t Dis My Ability: Universal Inclusion” (Saturday, March 11 from 12:30–1:30); “Outthink the Future with Just 10 Ideas a Day” (Saturday, March 11 from 3:30–4:30); “Science or Art? The Alchemy Behind Tech Hiring” (Sunday, March 12 from 11:00–12:00); “You Just Got Laid Off. Now What?” (Sunday, March 12 from 12:30–1:30) and “How To Find Your Happy Place” (Sunday, March 12 from 3:30–4:30).

Stay in the know about all the many free events at SXSW by signing up for Guest Pass information on this page. Also, stay tuned to this space for more information on way cool free events during the later half of week including the Flatstock poster show (March 16–18) and free concerts at the Outdoor Stage (March 16–18). March Magic is coming to Austin soon — the more you know, the more opportunities for more creativity!
