By 2020, esports is expected to reach $5 billion in revenue and have more fans than basketball. As esports grow toward competitive dominance, traditional sports organizations are throwing their hats in the ring, aiming to grow the sports industry as a whole. Learn more about the future of this booming sector and how you might be a part of it at a free Esports Business Accelerator Info Session hosted by Capital Factory in Austin from 5:00 to 6:30 pm Monday, June 18.
Led by Stadia Ventures, the discussion will cover its esports accelerator application process and answer questions for startup founders and teams that are building technology solutions that can be utilized in esports. Stadia Ventures helps esports startups accelerate their development through a combination of equity investment, intensive mentoring and connections to leading sports, esports, media, entertainment and global brands. Twice a year, Stadia Ventures selects up to five startups to receive as much as in $100,000 investment funding and to participate with a cohort of companies in a 14-week, immersive business development program.
Teams building in the following areas are encouraged to attend: data analytics, api solutions, A.I., virtual reality, blockchain, influencer management tools and other solutions such as broadcaster tools.
