IOT at Austin Forum on Tues, June 5
The Forrest Four-Cast: June 3, 2018
Everything is always connected, particularly with the emergence of the Internet of Things (IOT). Learn more about this ever-expanding technology at the Austin Forum on Tuesday, June 5 in a session titled “Realizing the Potential of Billions of Connected Devices.”
Leading the discussion for this event is Rhonda Dirvin, who is Director of IoT and Embedded at ARM. Since joining this company in 2011, she has worked in several marketing and strategic roles, including digital marketing and alliances. She now drives ARM’s marketing strategy through the lens of IoT vertical markets and is a Founding Board member of the OpenFog Consortium. Dirvin is an experienced electronics-industry veteran, who began her career with Motorola Semiconductor, where she worked for 17 years. She holds a BS in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
The Tuesday, June 5 edition of the Austin Forum occurs at the Central Library (710 W. Cesar Chavez in Downtown Austin). Doors open at 5:45 pm, the presentation begins at 6:15pm and the post-event reception commences at 7:30 pm. Sign up here to ensure your spot on the guest list. There is no cost to take part in the Austin Forum.
In addition to learning about the most interesting new technologies, Austin Forum attendees have a chance to win a free badge for SXSW 2019. Download the sli.do app on your smart phone before the event begins so you can have a chance to attend next year’s March Magic at no cost.
