Browse the SXSW PanelPicker voting interface and you will find a whopping 296 speaking proposals in the “Startup & Tech Sectors” track. These ideas cover a variety of relevant topics for founders and funders and everyone else who is interested in ahead-of-the-curve thinking. Be sure to vote (and comment) on your favorite proposals before the polls close at the end of the day on Friday, August 25.

Founders wanting to leverage the March Magic platform should also apply to be part of the 2018 SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event. Entry deadline for this competition is end of the day on Friday, November 10. This is a hard / firm deadline — because of the rigorous judging process on all applications received, late entries are not accepted for SXSW Accelerator.

The 10 categories of startups we are looking for in 2018 include Augmented & Virtual Reality, Enterprise & Smart Data, Entertainment & Content, Health & Wearable, Hyper-Connected Communities, Payment & FinTech, Security & Privacy, Social & Culture, Sports & Performance Data and Transportation.

Additionally, know that SXSW Accelerator alums have received over $4.63 billion in funding. View these past winners here.

2018 finalists will vie to join this list of winners when they pitch their companies in front of industry judges (and a packed house of SXSW registrants) on Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11. Buy your badge now so that you can see this exciting action live and in person. Hurry — registration rates increase after September 8 and the selection of downtown hotel rooms is quickly decreasing.
