Earlier this week, I enjoyed talking SXSW to creative professionals in Sao Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro. This international road trip has now transitioned to Angers, which is Austin’s sister city in France. More importantly, this year’s edition of the World Electronics Forum (WEF) is being hosted by this charming metropolis.

Established in 1995, the World Electronics Forum is a group of technology trade associations that meets annually to discuss issues of common interest. Speakers at this year’s event have included Christophe Bechu (Mayor of Angers), Paul Biya (President of Cameroon), Pascal Cagni (Director of Business France), David Monteau (Head of French Tech in Paris), Édouard Philippe (Prime Minister of France), and Benoit Tiers (Chief Digitlal and Information Officer of SNCF).

On Sunday, October 29, I will return to Paris. If you are a startup or a digital innovator who wants to learn more about March Magic in Austin, then please come to a Meet Up at Officience (39, rue du Caire). Running from 4:30 to 7:00 pm, this event will include light food plus a short presentation about SXSW 2018. RSVP to this free Meet Up via this EventBrite page.

If you are an entrepreneur, a founder, a startup or a digital innovator and you are not able to attend this October 29 event in Paris, then remember that Friday, November 10 is the deadline to apply for the SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event. Friday, November 10 is also the final entry deadline for the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards.
