Austin‘s Top Startups: May 24 at ACL Live
At an exciting live ceremony at the ACL Moody Theater this coming Thursday, sponsored by the Austin Chamber and SXSW, the 2018 Austin A-List of the city’s hottest startups will be revealed. The A-List awards bring acclaim and attention to innovative Austin-based startups across tech and non-tech industries, from early to established stages.
Tickets are $25 for the event, which takes place from 4 to 7:30 pm Thursday, May 24. Register here. After the ceremony concludes, ticket-holders enjoy top-notch networking with a generous selection of food and beverages.
Emceed by Doreen Lorenzo, Assistant Dean, School of Design, University of Texas at Austin, the A-List ceremony will features Mark McClain, founder of SailPoint Technologies, “Shark Tank” winner Julia Cheek, founder and CEO of diagnostic testing start-up EverlyWell, and Samantha Snabes, founder of re:3D, who in January won a $1 million at the WeWork Creator Awards Global Finals. Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, President & CEO of Huston-Tillotson University, will give an inspirational speech, and Brian Sheth, Co-Founder & President of Vista Equity Partners, will deliver the keynote address.
For young businesses still at the seed stages, the Austin A-List process makes a great testing ground for SXSW Accelerator. Details on how to apply for the 2019 SXSW Accelerator will be released in late June.
