Mon, Sept 24: Anne Bogel at BookPeople
The Forrest Four-Cast: September 19, 2018
We’d all like to read more, but it can feel like a struggle to choose the perfect book — to say nothing of finding the time. Host of the podcast “What Should I Read Next,” Anne Bogel helps make it possible with tips and inspiration in “I’d Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life,” her newly-published essay collection for book lovers.
Drawn from posts on her popular blog “Modern Mrs. Darcy,” the essays invite readers to consider the consequential role of reading in their lives — and how to make it better. Her blog has transformed her into a book tastemaker and has built a community for conversation around women’s issues. Bogel will talk about the her new book as well as sign copies at 7 pm on Monday, September. 24, at BookPeople in downtown Austin.
Speaking of new releases from outstanding authors, you’ll find plenty of these within the Book Reading program at March Magic 2019. Stay tuned to the SXSW website on Tuesday, October 16 when many of these sessions for next spring will be announced. Also check out some of the best authors (and best books) from SXSW 2018 via this popular blog post.
