New Tracks at SXSW: Fantastic Future
The Forrest Four-Cast: October 20, 2019
All conference sessions at SXSW 2020 fall into one of 22 different tracks. Topics for these tracks cover everything from “Advertising & Brand Experience” to “Tech Industry & Enterprise” to “Workplace.”
One of the new tracks for 2020 is “Fantastic Future.” Running March 16–21, Fantastic Future spotlights the extraordinary new ideas that inspire us to get excited about tomorrow. From quantum computing to the next generation of touchless interfaces, these sessions offer a platform to discuss and preview what life will be like over the next few decades.
Other new tracks for SXSW 2020 include “Climate & Social Action,” “Connection & Culture,” “Fantastic Future,” “Future of Music,” “Game Industry,” “Professional Development” and “Space.”
More than 500 panels and presentations these 22 tracks for next March will be announced via the SXSW website on Tuesday, October 22. These 500 sessions will come from community generated ideas that were entered via the SXSW PanelPicker, where 936 speaking proposals included the word “future.”
