In addition to all the upcoming Austin Design Week, digital creatives in Central Texas will want to attend the three-day design-focused conference organized by The Ethics Project at The University of Texas.

Designing an Ethics Center kicks off at 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 1 with a lecture by Kwame Anthony Appiah, Professor of Philosophy and Law at New York University titled “Social Identities and the Good Life.” This November 1 lecture occurs at the LBJ Auditorium at the Sid Richardson Hall/School of Public Affairs Lobby at 2300 Red River Street. RSVP here to ensure your place at this free session.

Content for Nov 2 and Nov 3 includes presentations from Dr. Larry McCullough (Distinguished Emeritus Professor, Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy, Baylor College of Medicine); Dr. Suzanne Shanahan (Director of The Kenan Institute for Ethics, Duke University); and Dr. Jess Miner (Research Director, Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, Harvard University).

Want more forward-thinking design content? Then plan to attend the Design Track (March 8–13) at SXSW 2019. Click here to browse all the sessions that are currently scheduled in this track.
