Capital Factory (701 Brazos Street) hosts the annual Texas Drone & Robotics Day on Thursday, November 14. Programming begins at 11:30 am on the 8th floor and continues with offsite drone flights, Q&A, and happy hour at the office of Guinn Partners.

This event will bring together leaders in the Lone Star State’s autonomous robotics scene, as guests from Dallas and Houston are invited to travel to Austin on one of Capital Factory’s round-trip buses.

Matt Chasen (the CEO of Lift Aircraft in Austin) will deliver a special edition of Founder’s Story as part of these November 14 activities. His new company aims to provide electric multi-rotor flying as a consumer experience — no pilot’s license required to enjoy.

Finally, if drones and robotics are your passion, then you’ll find numerous panels and presentations covering this topic at SXSW 2020. As always, browse the SXSW online schedule to find the content that appeals to your interests!

Hugh Forrest serves as Chief Programming Officer at SXSW, the world’s most unique gathering of creative professionals. He also tries to write at least four paragraphs per day on Medium. These posts often cover tech-related trends; other times they focus on books, pop culture, sports and other current events.
