The Forrest Four-Cast: June 21, 2022
The last time that I posted the Forrest Four-Cast to Medium was November 17, 2020. I’ve been silent since then because the daily writing habits I had developed pre-pandemic just couldn’t keep pace with the rate of societal change during COVID.
But I’m trying to get back into a regular writing rhythm now, at least for a little while.
The main reason for my return to Medium is the launch of the PanelPicker process, the longtime SXSW approach to the concept of user-generated content. For the 2023 season, this interface opens for speaking proposals on Tuesday, June 28, running through the end of the day on Sunday, July 24.
Over the next month or so, look for several more posts about the PanelPicker. These posts will explain why this interface is so important to our view of community at SXSW. Other posts will cover some of the best tips and tricks for improving your chances of selection success.
And, today’s return offering aside, I’ll try to keep these posts short and easy to read — four paragraphs total for each one. Stay tuned!
