The inaugural “Creatives Meet Business Experience” event comes to Austin this week, beginning on Thursday, September 14 and running through Friday, September 16.

CMBXP features four programming partners (Austin Learnshop, Creatives Meet Business, General Assembly, and Story Bar) who have teamed together to organized a variety of workshops focusing on the business-side, the artistic side, the marketing side and the storytelling side of being a creative.

Speakers include Sophia Bera (Gen Y Planning), Candice Digby (General Assembly), Eve Richter Dinnan (marketing and business consultant), Deb Gagor (author of “Branding is Sex. Get Your Customer Laid and Sell the Hell Out of Anything”), Bijoy Goswami (Bootstrap Austin), Philip Olson (The Art of Finance), Adam Sultan (Story Bar), Elle Tse (Look Think Make), AJ Watson (Thinktiv) and many others.

Workshop titles range from “5 Must Haves for Your PR Plan” to “Getting Started With Wordpress” to “Financial Literacy and Understanding Credit” to “Instagram for Business” to “”Onboarding and Managing Client Relationships From the Get Go” to “SEO for Beginners” to “Smart and Easy Retirement Plans for Creatives.” See the full schedule here.

These workshops occur at numerous venues around Austin including Atmosphere Coworking, Blue Owl Brewing, Carol Hickey Acting Studio, Juniper, Sky Candy, Soma Vida and the Back Pack.
