Show Cool Stuff at SXSW Virtual Cinema!
The Forrest Four-Cast: September 19, 2017
Virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality have become big elements of SXSW. Much of the content covering these topics occurs within the VR/AR Track of sessions (which runs March 13–15). Past speakers in this track have included Nonny de la Pena, Robert Scoble, Chris Milk, Alex Schwartz, Linda Jacobson and many many other industry experts.
Another important aspect of the focus on this topic is the SXSW Virtual Cinema, an exhibition which lets SXSW attendees experience outstanding VR cinema projects by talented international producers. This engaging discovery space is located on the fourth floor of the JW Marriott hotel and is scheduled during the same March 13–15 timeframe as the VR/AR Track.
If you are a producer of this next wave of content, then show your stuff at the SXSW Virtual Cinema by sending us your virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality films, games, and interactive projects with a total runtime or recommended viewing time of 40 minutes or less. But, hurry — the final application deadline is Friday, October 20. Find more information about the SXSW Virtual Cinema application process via this page.
Other exhibit opportunities for SXSW 2018 include the Trade Show, SXSW Create, the SXSW Job Market, Startup Spotlights and the SXSW Gaming Expo. For those who have a cool new product, application, service or company that appeals to forward-thinking innovators, March Magic in Austin provides an incredible platform to tell your story to the world!
