SXSW 2018 Badge Sales Begin Tues, Aug 1
The Forrest Four-Cast: July 25, 2017
Badge sales for SXSW 2018 begin at 10:00 am CDT on Tuesday, Aug 1 via the SXSW website. Registration fees for next March in Austin are the same as they were in 2017, with early-bird prices starting at $825. New for 2018 are special student rates — click here to get more info on these discount prices.
This Tuesday, August 1 date is particularly important if you are looking to get downtown lodging for the event. After you purchase your badge, you can make your hotel reservation via the SXSW Housing Department. We anticipate that most downtown rooms for the first part of SXSWeek 2018 will sell out by the end of the day on Tuesday, August 1. So, register early to maximize your options (as well as get the cheapest prices).
Speaking of lodging options, we are excited that the Fairmont Austin joins the lineup for March 2018. Located just east of the Austin Convention Center, this 37-story venue will add a lot more meeting rooms for conference programming. It will also bring several hundred downtown sleeping rooms to the mix. As above, we encourage you to buy early if you want to stay at the Fairmont Austin (or another specific downtown property).
Remember that we have dramatically increased the functionality for all kinds of SXSW badge-holders, thereby empowering all registrants to discover more of the forward-thinking content that makes the event so inspiring. All badge types are also eligible to attend SXSW Gaming.
In advance of the launch of badge sales on Tuesday, August 1, the first batch of Keynotes and Featured Speakers for SXSW 2018 was announced yesterday. Click here to learn more about Barry Jenkins, Esther Perel, whurley and several other compelling speakers confirmed for March.
