The Forrest Four-Cast: December 22, 2017
There are so many opportunities to make new and career-enhancing connections at SXSW. Check out some of the best Meet Up options for March Magic 2018 in Austin via this post.
You can also get your meat on at SXSW via the tenth annual BBQ Crash Course, which is scheduled for 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 9 at the Southbites Trailer Park. This event gives you the chance to network with other SXSW attendees, while you sample some of Central Texas’ greatest and realest BBQ all in one spot (delivered to you by the men and women who make it day in and day out). Share your creativity with some of the world’s most creative pit-masters!
Purchase your BBQ Crash Course ticket as an add-on when you register for SXSW 2018. Hurry, because SXSW badge prices increase at the end of the day on Friday, January 12.
If mental nourishment is your thing, then be sure to check out all the cool content in the Food Track at SXSW 2018. Scheduled March 12–14, this track covers the food community’s most inspired entrepreneurs, chefs, data scientists, investors, filmmakers, and enthusiasts to connect and explore ways in which technology and innovation can be leveraged to transform the industry.
Highlights of the Food Track include a presentation from celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern, as well as a return appearance by Nathan Myhrvold (who was one of the most popular speakers at SXSW 2015).
Hugh Forrest serves as Chief Programming Officer at SXSW, the world’s most unique gathering of creative professionals. He also tries to write at least four paragraphs per day on Medium. These posts often cover tech-related trends; other times they focus on books, pop culture, sports and other current events.
