SXSW 2020: Four Things To Know
While the 2019 SXSW Gaming Expo continues through Sunday, March 17 (free admission if you have a Music, Film, Interactive or Platinum badge), other facets of this year’s event are beginning to come to a close. As you start to think about next spring in Austin, here are four resources to guide your 2020 game-plan.
- Dates for SXSW 2020. The 2020 event begins on Friday, March 13 and concludes on Sunday, March 22. Meanwhile SXSW Edu begins on Sunday, March 8 and concludes on Thursday, March 12. Also please consider joining us at the third annual me Convention, which runs September 11–13, 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany. Early-bird registration rates for me Convention expire on Friday, May 31.
- Save on registration for SXSW 2020. Through March 31, register for SXSW 2020 for the best savings of the year and to gain early access to hotel rooms and rates before registration officially opens in the summer of 2019. Find out more about these special 2020 rates by visiting this page.
- Speaking proposals for SXSW 2020. If you have a great idea for a panel or a solo presentation for next year’s event, then you should enter this proposal via the 2020 SXSW PanelPicker. Entry process for this interface opens on Monday, June 24 and ends on Friday, July 19. UPDATE: The PanelPicker entry process has been pushed back one week to Monday, July 1.
- Application process for SXSW 2020. If you want to apply to participate in next year’s SXSW Music Festival, SXSW Film Festival, SXSW Pitch or any of the other many competitions that are part of March Magic, then stay tuned to this page for entry information. The application process for most of these competitions open in mid-summer. UPDATE: The entry process for these competitions has been pushed back one week to Monday, July 1.
