Monday, June 26 begins the entry process for the 2018 SXSW Film Festival. The early entry deadline for this competition is Friday, August 25; the regular deadline is Friday, September 22; the late entry deadline is Friday, October 20. You will save on entry fees if you submit your work before these August and September deadlines.

Scheduled March 9–17, 2018, the SXSW Film Festival celebrates raw innovation and emerging talent from both behind and in front of the camera. Featuring provocative documentaries, comedies, genre standouts, and more, the festival has become known for the high caliber and diversity of films presented, and for its smart, enthusiastic audiences. Also commencing on Monday, June 26 is the process for entering speaking proposals for the 2018 SXSW Conference. The window for entering speaking ideas is relatively short — all proposals must be received by end of day on Friday, July 21. Registration for SXSW 2018 opens on Tuesday, August 1. Buy early for lowest prices and the best hotel options!
