Proposals to be considered as a speaker for SXSW 2019 in Austin are now being accepted via the PanelPicker interface. Maximize your chances of success with this process by reading the tips revealed daily in this space between now and July 20.

Because SXSW is always evolving and improving, we’ve revised many of the tracks for next March. In addition to the new “Cannabusiness” track, we’ve also added a track focused on “Blockchain & Cryptocurrency” to the mix. We encourage members of the SXSW community who are developing innovative products and use-cases for these new technologies to enter a proposal in this new category. As with “Cannabusiness,” the “Blockchain & Cryptocurrency” track will occur in the second half of SXSWeek. Lots of music industry professionals are in Austin during this portion of the event, so perhaps your speaking proposal covers how blockchain will reshape entertainment.

If you want to read more of the 25 PanelPicker tips, then visit this page. Learn what NOT to do when entering a speaking proposal by visiting this post from 2015 as well as this post from 2016. Finally, learn about all the various track changes and revisions for SXSW 2019 by visiting this post from June.

Also remember that the registration process for SXSW 2019 commences on the morning of Wednesday, August 1. Buy early (and buy often!) to obtain the lowest badge prices for next spring as well as to enjoy the most options on convenient downtown lodging.
