SXSW PanelPicker Tip #22: Healthcare
The Forrest Four-Cast: July 18, 2018
If you have a speaking proposal for SXSW 2019, then you need to get it into the PanelPicker interface before the Friday, July 20 entry deadline. In this space we offer content-related tips (and other relevant advice) to help make your PanelPicker proposal as strong as possible.
Today’s reminder is that health has become an increasingly big component of March Magic in Austin (hence the addition of the “Health & MedTech” track a few years ago). At both SXSW 2017 and SXSW 2018, we noticed that some of the most popular sessions in this track focus on how big picture tech trends are impacting the healthcare tomorrow. For instance, how is blockchain impacting health? Or, how will automated systems change the way healthcare is delivered in the short-term and long-term future? Or what kind of startups will be most successful in this space over the next few years. Given this kind of interest from the SXSW community, perhaps re-focus your speaking proposal such that it addresses how the technology that you are an expert in will potentially impact tomorrow’s health-related ecosystem.

Also remember that the registration process for SXSW 2019 opens on Wednesday, August 1. Buy your badge early to ensure the lowest rates and to have the most options on convenient downtown lodging.
