SXSW PanelPicker Tip #8: Media Matters
The Forrest Four-Cast: July 3, 2018
The SXSW PanelPicker interface is accepting speaking proposals for March Magic 2019 in Austin. Entry deadline is end of day on Friday, July 20. Over the next few weeks, stay tuned to this space to explore 25 handy tips to help give you the most success in this process.
Today’s reminder is that several track titles have changed for next year’s event. In addition to the all-new “Cannabusiness” track, we have modified what was previously called “News & Journalism.” The re-vamped track title for these sessions is “Media & Journalism” which creates more room to cover the many ongoing changes in the international media landscape (such as the recently approved Disney Fox merger). The full description for this track is as follows: “The Media & Journalism Track explores how journalism, analysis, and content distribution are being impacted by technology and culture. This track will examine the fast-changing media landscape, as older institutions and newer organizations battle for consumer attention.”
