UPDATE: Entry deadline for SXSW 2019 speaking proposals extended to Sunday, July 22 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

If you want to showcase your insights and expertise by speaking on a session at SXSW 2019, then the PanelPicker interface is your vehicle for formally submitting a proposal. Between now and the July 20 entry deadline, this space explores 25 tips to aid your success in this process.

For July 4, we remind you that one of the revised tracks for next March is “Tech Industry & Enterprise.” This is the track to enter proposals that focus on intriguing new developments in today’s tech world. For 2019, we’ve expanded the focus to the B2B market — and we’d like to see a lot more B2B-related proposals in the 2019 PanelPicker. The “Tech Industry & Enterprise” track runs from Friday, March 8 through Thursday, March 14. In addition to more enterprise-focused proposals, we’re also looking for sessions for the second half of SXSWeek that focus on how technology is continuing to interact with and change the music industry.

Click here to read a running list of all 25 PanelPicker tips. For info on what NOT to do when entering a speaking proposal in this interface, read this post from 2015 as well as this post from 2016.

In addition to the July 20 deadline for PanelPicker proposals, August 1 is another day you should mark on your calendar. Registration begins for the 2019 event on August 1. Buy your badge early to ensure the lowest rates and to have the most options on convenient downtown lodging.
