SXSW Pitch: Health & Wearables
As noted in this short video, the application deadline for startups to get involved with SXSW Pitch 2020 is the end of the day on Friday, November 15.
Applying to this competition is the smartest way for founders and entrepreneurs to leverage the powerful promotional platform that is SXSW. Finalists generate numerous press opportunities and also make career-enhancing connections with other cutting-edge innovators. Additionally, participating SXSW Pitch startups typically gain significant attention from a wide variety of funders — over the last decade, past finalists have received more than $6.6 billion in funding.
SXSW Pitch is divided into 10 different categories for 2020, including “Health, Wearables & Wellbeing.” This category is for startups that develop human-centric applications that advance health; this category also focuses on new innovations that connect individuals with health systems and facilities, care teams, providers, insurance, corporate and personal wellness services, and public health & social services. Startups in “Health, Wearables & Wellbeing” may also include applications in aging and geriatrics, general wellness, diagnosis, genetics, exercise, nutrition, sleep, sports, and wearable technologies.
