Only a few days remain to enter SXSW Pitch 2020, as the application process closes at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Friday, November 15.

SXSW Pitch empowers the world’s most forward-focused founders and entrepreneurs to leverage the powerful promotional platform that is March Magic. Finalists in this competition get to showcase their startups in front of an audience of industry tastemakers, media and other influencers. Finalists also gain lots of attention from the many VCs and angels who come to Austin for SXSW — over the last ten years, finalists in this competition have received more than $6.6 billion in funding.

“Social & Culture” is one of the 10 categories for SXSW Pitch 2020. This category focuses on startups that expand the boundaries of how humans experience life as individuals, as communities, and as global citizens. Examples of such sectors include (but are not limited to) social media and networking, dating and friendship, travel and hospitality, environment and climate change, home, and fashion. This category also covers social enterprise technologies that aim to solve social or societal problems, impact positive change, and improve the lives of individuals and groups.
