Technology and Trust: Take This Survey!
The Forrest Four-Cast: February 3, 2018
How much trust do you have in our institutions, our technology, and our media? This is the focus of a new survey being conducted by SXSW and global communications marketing firm Edelman. Please click here to lend your voice to this 2018 Trust Barometer Questionnaire — SXSW Special Report.
Given massive disruption in recent years, this survey asks trust-related questions geared towards understanding our relationship with the government and media. Specific tech sectors focused on in the survey include the Internet of Things; virtual / augmented / mixed reality platforms; autonomous / self-driving vehicles; blockchain technology; sharing / demand / collaboration economy businesses; artificial Intelligence / machine learning / robotics; as well as mobile or smart phone application developers.
Findings from this survey will be the focus of a special SXSW session on the afternoon of Friday, March 9 at the JW Marriott. You must have a badge to attend this panel — click here to purchase (and know that these registration prices increase at the end of the day on Friday, February 8).
Other sessions that focus on trust at SXSW 2018 include “Trust Crisis: The Need for Blockchain,” “Trust: The Currency of the Sharing Economy,” “Platforms Your Customers Trust,” “Trust, Cogency & Authenticity in an Anti-Ad World,” and “Trust in ‘The Media:’ What Do News Consumers Want?”
