More Awesome Speakers for SXSW 2017

Yesterday, SXSW revealed another round of confirmed 2017 speakers, including Academy Award nominated director Lee Daniels, artificial intelligence expert Kate Crawford, automotive industry legend Bill Ford plus several others. These speakers serve as a nice complement to Jennifer Doudna (CRISPR), Jill Soloway (“Transparent”), Gary Vaynerchuk (Vayner Media) and a dozen other industry innovators whose participation in SXSW was announced in late July.
The next significant milestone for the 2017 season is Friday, September 9, which marks the final day to purchase your 2017 badge at the early-bird rate. Four important points about this upcoming deadline are as follows:
- You will save $500 on the walkup price if you buy your badge by September 9. Unless your company or organization is eligible for a group discount, then this early-bird rate is the absolute lowest rate of the 2017 season. But these big savings go away at the end of the day on Friday.

- September is not too early to start planning meetings for the 2017 event. After you purchase your badge, you’ll be able to set up your SX Social account. This in-house social networking platform allows you to network with the kinds of people you want to network with before the event even begins.
